Scouts participated in the first session of their horsemanship merit badge on Sunday, April 23 at Seaton Hackney stables in Morristown, NJ. Some of the scouts who participated need the horsemanship merit badge for their upcoming trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico this summer.

Troop 146 is proud to celebrate 2 new Eagle Scouts! This prestigious rank is the highest in scouting. Congratulations to Nick and John Facchini! Their ceremony took place on March 26th at St. Matthew Trinity Lutheran Church.

With all of your help and support, we were able to build and install one picnic table and two standalone benches. Furthermore, we removed over 100 bags of garbage from the site, trimmed many hazardous low-hanging branches, and removed five dead trees from the property.

Nick and John Facchini both passed their Eagle Scout Board of Review on September 7th. If you would like to see more pictures of their board of review click here 

Scouts went to Camp Turrell  from July 10 – 16 and 17 – 23. They earned multiple merit badges and awards while they were there. If you would like to see more pictures click here

Hoboken Troop 146 hosts visiting Arrow of Light cubs from Pack 146 and Pack 18 on a regular basis so they can fulfill Scouting Adventure requirement 2, “visit a troop meeting”. Scouts recently earned the canoeing Merit Badge while at Camp Floodwood.  Learning how to flip over a capsized canoe was one of the requirements.
